Easter Weekend.
Easter weekend was long and hot and I just so happened to have the whole three days off from work. I would have done this post on Easter Sunday but I was sun'd and biked out and I've been working the past two mornings. If I think back to Sunday in my mind I can count five different outfits I wore that day which often leads to over accessorizing (at least in my case) The clothes change but each time I add a new accessory without removing the old one. By the time evening rolled around I was completely hooched out in skin tight white jeans and hoops with a head scarf and red lipstick...
The bunny rabbit with a bow necktie is a retro cardboard cutout I found at a local thrift shop. It came in a bag with five of them!! I was going to put them on large popsicle sticks and make Photo Booth type masks with them but alas I got too busy and my idea didn't come to fruition. This happens with most of my ideas unless I execute hem that same day or the following. Either way they are totally cute and its not as though Easter is a one time thing...PLUS... I can always use them to decorate a room.
Cyrus and I walked downtown in the glorious sunshine on Sunday after breakfast to get a coffee, run some errands and I had a tattoo consultation apt with Chris David at Government Street Tattoo. I almost had to reschedule because (I'm a forgetful idiot) and I didn't remember to give Cyrus his bank card back and had it hiding in my purse... He was already at Vee Dub so I walked across the bridge to deliver it to him like a any good wife to be would. It ended up being 17 degrees and my feet got to see the sunshine in my open toed black flats. The walk was visually stimulating and I got back to the Tattoo shop just in time. Yay! I'm pretty excited. (I got my bow touched up on Friday. It sucked a lot and hurt real bad but now its perfect again...I avoided doing the dishes for a few days as to not get it wet.)
Olivia and I enjoyed soaking up some rays later in the day when the sun isn't as hot. I can't show my bare skin in the hot hours of the day or I'll just turn pink and be horribly uncomfortable within an hour. Plus, I enjoy being pale.
