"Well-behaved women seldom make history.”

I've been growing out my hair since the end of last year. This isn't long in the scheme of things but for someone who has had different versions of short hair for the past four years, its a change. Parts of me miss the whole salon experience. The head massage, the tea, the chit-chat and of course the end result but parts of me love just doing it myself. I find that no matter who I go to or how hard I try to describe the bangs I want, they never get it quite right. They either don't listen which is the worst, mostly because I'm one of those people who has a vision of what I want it to look like and it never comes out that way or they just botch the whole thing. I have decided I am as good as any stylist at cutting my own bangs and I intend to do so until the rest of my hair is in desperate need of a clean up. Its naturally curly and full of cow licks but I straighten it for the cutting process and when I'm not completely lazy. I've been wearing it up and natural with a bit of spray to hold the bangs in place as to not look like a wind swept rat as I bike all over Victoria.

The top I'm wearing in the top photo is actually a mini dress that I made in high-school. I believe it was for my grade 10 final sewing project. Its made from blue vintage polyester with little white polka dots. It has a single pocket, little red plastic heart buttons and red thread around the hem line.
