April showers bring May flowers.

This is my first post in over a week. All of last week I was incredibly sick and unable to do much of anything. I missed work and due to that I missed Logan's fourth birthday party and so on and so forth. I haven't been able to find the time to do any outfit posts which is really getting on my nerves because I have so many pretty clothes just hiding away in my walk in. I spent the majority of yesterday with my mother. She came to town to do some shopping for her grandson's first birthday and needed someone to show her all the cute whimsical places to buy clothing and toys for infants. She stopped by Toys'R Us recently and said everything was hard plastic and she refused to buy him anything from there- must be the Waldorf toys from when I was a child, they spoiled us all. Once she went home I slipped into my lace and silk vintage night-gown with open back and planned on having a nap in the sunshine but got distracted and ended up lounging around in cameos, vintage gold chains and hand made silk floral crowns. It felt nice to enjoy being at home alone. Last week I was home for four solid days but I had no appreciation for it and how beautiful it was outside. I walked (with a hunch might I add) to the curtains and closed them so no sunlight could get in! I hope that was the last time I am sick until autumn because I don't think my body or mind (or pocket book) could handle it. |

Outfit Details: Silk floral hand-made headband: Made by Chelsey, the owner of Lovely Things Vintage. Vintage gold chain costume necklace: Vanity Fair Antique shop on Fort St. 1960's Gold/Diamond/Ruby Engagement ring: Gift from my fiancé's mother. We originally got matching spiders as our wedding rings but Catherine was kind enough to give me her engagement ring that was hand made in Thailand in the 1960's! On the plus side the ruby sits directly on the spiders head, almost as though we did it on purpose. White lace and silk open back night-gown: Thrifted locally. |

That floral crown is amazing! So awesome you got it from Chelsey. Tattoo wedding ring is pretty radical. Feel better!
ReplyDeleteShe made two of them, I couldn't resist the silk dusty rose colour! Thanks, I am feeling much better today. Not normal, but close.
